June 2015 Meeting Minutes

Here are the meeting minutes from the June gathering held at 1:30pm on June 28, 2015 at Clawson’s Restaurant in Beaufort, NC.
We would like to thank everyone in the Clawson’s family for allowing us to come in to their establishment and have a homebrew!

Beer Style Talk
Dennis discussed the Kolsch style and gave us some pointers what to look for in a good example. We sampled his own homebrew version.

Treasurer's Report
Dawn, AKA: the “Money Honey”, provided a detailed treasurer’s report to all that were on hand. We currently have $1,904.76.

Brew Bern Beer Fest yesterday (June 27, 2015)
Committee updates
There were no committee chairpersons available so there were no updates available.
New/Ongoing Business
Beer Army Outpost closing, this location will no longer be a viable meeting location.
Brew Durham scheduled for September 26.
Joey discussed Friday Night Flights and our next scheduled date to serve our homebrew will be on September 18.
Monthly Club Competition
Homebrew contest winner was Terry Laurie with his Scotch Ale, also awarding him homebrewer of the month.
